Application for Membership
The Downtown Huntington Partners, Inc. (DHPI) is accepting new Partners to assist in providing a vision, support and promotion for the improvement of downtown Huntington. The group consists of retailers, landlords, restaurateurs, professionals, downtown business people and any other persons of business interested in the improvement and promotion of downtown Huntington and surrounding area. DHPI is a non-profit organization consisting of an entirely volunteer staff. The partners realize the importance of a strong, growing and changing downtown to the entire Tri-State area. Dues are $240.00 per year, which can be billed annually, semi-annually, quarterly. Membership dues are currently our only source of income, so the more members we have, the more money we will have to do other activities to promote downtown Huntington.
Our meetings are held at the Cabell - Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau Conference Room at 210 11th Street, Huntington, WV. Application for Member of the organization is Paul E. Davis, Vice-Executive is Dave Coster, Secretary Amy Howat, Treasurer Jim McClelland. Other members of the Board are James Brumfield, Elizabeth Buffington, Sherry Houvouras and Mike Wilson.
Since the formation of DHPI we have sponsored Heritage Fest and other events in downtown. These events bring residents and tourists to downtown Huntington for fun and educational experiences that are closely linked to our heritage. There have been free informational tours of the Pullman Railroad Car conducted by members of the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District. Tom Philips of Ironton, Ohio has displayed his 1900's Antique Hearse and several concerts have been held. We sponsor a Dollar Days promotion two times per year. The Executive Committee is working on many other ideas to revitalize the Huntington area and always appreciate input from interested individuals.
Interested business persons are welcome to attend the meetings.
